Overview

MarkedPDF is designed with privacy in mind. Your documents are processed entirely on your Mac and are never uploaded to our servers.

Data We Collect

License Validation

When you activate a license, we store:

• Your email address (from purchase)
• A hash of your machine identifier
• App version number

This data is used solely to validate your license and enforce the 3-machine limit.

Trial Registration

When you start a trial, we store your email address and machine hash to prevent abuse (one trial per email/machine).

Demo & Trial Communications

By signing up for a trial or demo, you consent to receive product-related emails from us, including onboarding tips, feature announcements, and promotional offers related to MarkedPDF. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in each email or by contacting us at support@markedpdf.com.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Please review Stripe's privacy policy.

Data We Don't Collect

• Your documents or their contents
• File names or paths
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports (unless you opt-in)

Data Retention

License data is retained for the lifetime of your license. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of MarkedPDF after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
